BlackBerry’s Android Powered DTEK 60 And DTEK 50 Launched

Blackberry announced its comeback on Monday after launching two smartphones — DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 — priced at Rs 22,100 and Rs 50,900 respectively.

DTEK50 will be available for sale from Saturday, the DTEK 60 will hit market before end of year in December. To distribute and promote BlackBerry handsets in the market the company has partnership with Optiemus, a Delhi-based telecom enterprise.

Alex Thurber, senior vice president, global device sales, BlackBerry, commented that, “India is a very important market for BlackBerry and now we have tied up with Optiemus Infracom that strengthens our network of key partners in India and will enable us to deliver our secure BlackBerry Android experience to more customers,”


Here is what specifications has to say, the DTEK50 features a 5.2-inch HD display, with 3GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera with LED flash. The attraction in device is the 2TB of expandable memory and 2,610 mAh battery life.

On the other hand, the DTEK60 sports a 5.5-inch quad-HD display, 4GB RAM, 21-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera and 3,000mAh battery life with a fingerprint sensor.
