It can be a hacker or a neighbor who would be using your WIFI network to access the Internet connection and this can be a reason that your WIFI speed is been affected. Who is using my Wi-Fi?

 

To find out this the 1st thing is to latch on the WIFI network for  which  you want to check who all are accessing the WIFI network. Next, you have to download the network monitoring app Fing from play store or click the link below.

Now Launch the app from you Android phone, and you will the name of your WIFI network with list of smart phones and PC connected to it

Select any device on your network to send pings or Wake on LAN signals, and you can check when those devices connect and disconnect from the network.

 

 

How to block unknown devices from WIFI Networks

 

If you find any suspicious device connected to your WIFI networks, Fing will shows you the MAC address of each device connected in the this format ‘xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx’). Copy this number

 

  • On your PC browser enter your Router IP followed by login details.
  • In Security options or Advanced Settings click MAC Filtering, then Add Device
  • Enter the MAC address of the device you want to block in the MAC field than Save it or OK

Other option is to just change the Wi-Fi password, as the previous one is hacked or compromised.
