As we Indians after Demonetisation still struggling standing outside long queues outside ATM wasting our productive time. Some companies are turning this change to their advantage. One of such company is Paytm, they have used this opportunity to push its service and trying to reach maximum number of customer. However the problem is Paytm’s amazingly smooth service requires an internet connection, so you may still find yourself cashless in places where you don’t find Internet on your phone or laptop.
Don’t worry now as Paytm has tried to make it simpler as users can now use a Toll-Free number (1800 1800 1234) to send money to another Paytm account. As per the Paytm Blog post this is how it works:
“To use this service, as a first step, Paytm customers and merchants must set their 4 Digit Paytm PIN on call. They can then enter the recipient’s mobile number, amount and their Paytm PIN to successfully transfer the money from their Paytm wallet to another Paytm wallet. Please note, that you will need an existing Paytm account to use this service. You must call this Toll-Free number from your mobile number registered with Paytm.”
This means you should be registered with Paytm before trying the above and should call the toll free number from your registered number.
Paytm is also planning to give small and medium businesses the ability to accept credit and debit card payments through the Paytm app.
